IT’S a dog life. This may best describe the poor individuals who were chained like animals and treated savagely by Ah Long agents due to their failure in paying their high interest bearing debts.
Hopefully, these scary pictures will make people think twice before they approach loans sharks for personal loans.
Previously, victims had their houses sprayed with red ink and their close relatives being harassed by Ah Long agents to pay back their debts.
Despite all this, desperate people who are not eligible for banks loans still go to the loan sharks.
They know the consequences if they fail to keep up with their payment schedules.
More often than not, once trapped in these debt cycles, most people will find it hard to settle their debts, thus causing them and their family to be victimised when Ah Long come to collect their debts.
As long as there is demand for easy loans, Ah Long will be forever ready to provide speedy services but at what price?
